Gilbertson Investigations, LLC provides professional private
investigative services to attorneys and law firms in the areas of criminal
defense, personal injury and civil litigation cases throughout the state of
Minnesota.
I have over 33 years of experience in law enforcement. I was a
detective for the last 20 years of my career with extensive experience in the
areas of criminal investigations, identifying and gathering evidence,
apprehending suspects, interviewing witnesses, victims and suspects,
coordinating investigations, charging cases through the city and county
attorneys office and testifying in court.
I was assigned to a Persons
Crimes Unit for 6 years and was responsible
for investigating murder, sex crimes, child abuse, assaults and robbery. I
assisted in 15 murder investigations and was the primary case officer in 2
homicide cases.
I was assigned to the South
Metro Drug Task Force for 5 years with the
responsibility of investigating and prosecuting all drug crimes in Dakota
County. I supervised the unit for 2 years. I was also responsible for all drug
related civil asset forfeitures.
I was assigned to a Property
Crimes Unit for 10 years and conducted
investigations into crimes such as thefts, arson, burglaries, fraud, financial
crimes and identity theft.
I am currently a member of the First District Bar Association
Ethics Committee.
